We are using artificial
insemination and embryo transfer to improve the quality of our cattle by
selecting superior
bull and cow mating. These are our 2010 selections.
In 2010
we put two of these embryos in for 2011 calves. These will be full siblings to
Messmer Joshua 019P
Also
one each of these embryos.
In 2007 we had embryo calves by
LSF Canyon Classic and LCC Mattie LA048.
They had their first calves in
2009.
Classic Mattie T704
had twin bulls as a first calf heifer weaning them with a combined 205
weight of 1225 pounds.
She bread back
loosing only three days calving.
In 2007
we had embryo calves by LJC Mission Statement and
HXC Carlene 303N.
Carlene T701 also
raised twins as a heifer, one bull and one heifer. They
weighted 42 and 47 pounds at birth she mothered them like an
experienced cow.
This cow arrived in 2006. She is doing a great
job with her calves.
We own Radically Perfect
501 in partnership with Revland Red Angus. She has raised two
great herdsires.
Her firs heifer born in
2009 sired by Mission Specialist is now in the breeding pasture
and she has is nursing her 2010 heifer from Big Kahuna.
